Having square watermelons don’t just look interesting, but they are also easier to store, will definitely not roll out of your fridge.
We show you how you can grow them yourself! Follow these simple steps.
Step 1
Find the best location in an open space with a lot of direct sunlight. The soil you plant it in should be warm and always with enough water. If you live in a colder climate, start planting the seeds indoors and put them out once the soil is warm enough.
Step 2
Planting the seeds. The best practice is to plant them in groups of three seeds not too far from each other. To make them grow you should water them constantly as watermelons need a lot of water. In short, once or twice a week water them well. To make them grow faster, add mulching as well.
Step 3
Once you see your plants growing watermelons, choose a square box. When you choose the box, make sure it has glass sides, as it will allow sunlight to access your watermelons and make them grow faster. The box needs to be made in a way that it can have easy access to air as well.
If you think a square shape is too boring, you can choose different shapes, such as a heart, a star, and even a Buddha.
Don’t forget to continue watering your watermelons, as they still need a lot of water until they are ready to harvest, which usually takes between 80 and 100 days.
